Teacher: "This is a really imaginative story and we loved all the strange and funny creatures and plants, the quokka’s and yarama’s. It stimulated lots of discussion. We hadn’t read the first book, but it didn’t matter. The story stands alone, although I believe there are references to characters from the first book. My class were enthralled and asked to read the first book after we finished. Whilst I think it is largely aimed at girls, the boys enjoyed it too. Definitely recommend for years 5/6/7."

Hi, My name is Ektaa and I am a Midwife who wrote the Pacific Princesses series for my nieces!
I realised there were not enough Fantasy books for ages 7+ set in Australia, that were diverse and encouraged values we need in our little girls. Writing is my true passion and these books might be the best novels I've ever written. They are full of adventure and wonder, and show good examples of strong female characters facing challenges head on using their smarts, wit and bravery.
